When you major or minor in 经典 in SPU’s Department of 语言, 文化, 和语言学, you will be provided with preparation for any of the liberal arts, as well as enrichment for personal satisfaction.

• A minimum 51–52 credits are required for this major, including 25 upper-division credits.
• You will choose one of two emphases in this major: cultural or language.
• You must complete the degree requirements in effect when you are admitted to the major.
• 考虑双学位:  经典 and a major in another discipline.
• 高级论文 is required and is to be presented in conjunction with the Capstone Seminar.

• A minimum 33 credits are required for this minor, including 15 upper-division credits.

• To apply for a major in 经典, you must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA in all college work applicable to the BA degree, as well as a 2.5 GPA in 10 credits of coursework at SPU in 经典 and/or Latin.
• You may apply for a major or minor 使用 Major or Minor Application form. 
• You must complete all major or minor requirements in effect when you are accepted to the degree program.
